An Arghole Album

Photos & comments I've received from Arghole users. Please feel free to contribute!

David Walters took the following five images with his Arghole:

Traci Bunkers writes, "I got my Arghole yesterday, and was so excited, I shot a test roll. They came out great. Here are some links to the photos:

What do you think that white streak is? It was a double exposure--you can
kind of make out my silhouette of my head with my glasses.

In my studio--exposure about 5 minutes. You can see me bottom right sitting
in a chair.

This was so fun. Thanks! A lot of the pictures look like "normal" point &
shoot photos they are so sharp."

Michael Powney writes (photos below):

"At the risk of boring you silly, I'll share the full set of twelve initial exposures from #3 arghole and allow your use as you see fit - an arghole album on your website maybe?

General notes: except for the final frame, all exposures were made while rubber banded onto a lightweight plastic mini-tripod. Flash as noted, but kinda obvious.
Exteriors all about 5-6 seconds, interiors 4-5 minutes, with guidance from an old Sekonic meter, scaling up the f16 reading by 128X.
Film was 200ASA 12exp Walgreens Studio 35; one-hour processed at Walgreens this morning. Negative scans on a colleague's Epson 2450 at 1200 dpi, resulting in huge files with images 7200 pixels wide.
Post processing in Photoshop Elements in two passes - first desampled to 100dpi and secondly to 72mm width with final saves in "web" mode.

ph01w: "breakfast table" - about 5 seconds - ghost on right is me - meter fooled by light from windows.

ph02w: "accessories" - open+flash+close - scanner missed the frame slightly.

ph03w: "oooh - red vette!" - a little fuzzier than others - camera vibes ??

ph04w: "Rob don't move much..." - 5 minutes from atop my flipper shelves.

ph05w: "Atrium water feature" - waterfalls clearer than expected - four minutes.

ph06w: "Atrium pool two - with greenery" - flash at end of exposure.

ph07w: "Solar reflection with pansy" - didn't realize that bounceback was so bright - attempt to show depth of field.

ph08w: "Vanishing traffic on I25" - even though hedge blocks most, traffic vanishes with 6 seconds exposure - set back on picnic table to get some foreground - obvious illumination of, and maybe some flare from, lens surround in visible field.

ph09w: "Did you forget to wind? - yep!" - I thought I might have double exposed and took next shots to compensate, but first thought on seeing print was "where did that glass come from?"

ph10w: "Lets do that tree again - nice mulch" - looking northish - I25 on the left this time.

ph11w: "West Parking Lot" - Picnic table almost looks like a ground-level feature.

ph12w: "Fire Alarm Station" - final frame hand held - open+flash+close - about 6" distance.
Let me know what you think of this first effort from a person who spends MUCH more time collecting cameras than taking pictures with them.

cheers & thanks for a fun photomaker,
mikep

More of my Argholes (because everything's about me):

Is it real, or is it Matchbox?

The dog stepped into the frame halfway through the exposure.

Miniature circus, Transportation Museum, Roanoke, VA

Campfire: 15 minute exposure.

Raindrops on lupine.

Can't get away from Argholes and little cars. This is a Johnnie Lightning "Playing Mantis" (it's made in China.) Those are Limited Edition Argholes in the background.
